Filament Configuration
We offer filaments in a wide range of shapes and sizes, with both individual filaments and welded assemblies available in wire or ribbon form. Standard configurations include helical, arrow, straight, circle, and horseshoe shapes—custom geometries are also available to meet your specific requirements.
Filament Material
Our filaments are formed from high-performance materials including tungsten, iridium, molybdenum, rhenium, and platinum. Each filament is manufactured to your required dimensions and tight tolerances for optimal performance in demanding environments.
Coating
We provide yttrium oxide (yttria) coatings for both wire- and ribbon-type filaments. This coating combines the durability of a burn-out resistant base metal with the benefits of a low-work function surface, enhancing filament performance across a variety of applications. An optional inactive protective coating is also available as a final step in the manufacturing process.
Fusion Power Applications
Our precision-engineered filaments are used in advanced instrumentation and diagnostic systems for fusion power research and development. Built to withstand extreme temperatures and ultra-high vacuum conditions, they are ideally suited for applications in plasma physics experiments, tokamak reactors, and other fusion-related technologies, ultimately advancing clean, renewable, and sustainable energy through fusion power.
